Default New Yacht Club in CT by Port Jeff ferry and Bass Pro Shops

Son had a hockey tourney in RI last weekend so I suffered through 95N in CT. What a mess, but not the topic. I noticed what appears to be a new yacht club in Bridgeport. It's adjacent to the Port Jeff ferry landing. Assume it's private and was built with the intent to serve the new casino. Someone mentioned that they have transient slips and its worth the trip to eat in the restaurant. Going to check with my beach club to see if their is reciprocity, but it would be helpful if I knew the name. Based on the number of empty slips, they should welcome the business. Google was not any help.

As far as I know (I live in Milford and sail/powerboat out of stratford) It's just a restaurant and the marina will be a commercial marina to give water access to a future casino there. No YC or boat club that I am aware of. Restaurant is supposed to be ok but not great.

Dont think its a yacht club... what makes you think its a yacht club?

And its been empty all summer despite slips being built

Who mentioned its for a restaurant? Perhaps start there to find out the details? I know there was a new restaurant in the area but I heard it was terrible.

Edit: I believe the restaurant is called Boca. Mixed reviews on it. Free transient boat slips this summer but that marina didnt rent out seasonal slips for whatever reason so next season may be different.

Thanks for the local knowledge. I was told by a fellow team member parent, who is a boater, it was a YC. Glad it's not a YC, as their slips were empty. Guess that's why I struck out with google, searched for a yacht club. Good to know the restaurant is marginal. I'll keep my plans for one last run this season to Prime in LI. Foods okay, but the views are worth the cost of admission.

The ferry is coming to that side of the harbor and the new ferry landing will be in that new building on bass pro side. I live in Stratford and pass it everyday. The casino is hit or miss as of now. But Iím sure eventually will be there. Have not heard about any yacht club. Iím sure itís to help with people coming over from Long Island once the amphitheater is finished where the bluefish played

The place your taking about is called Boca Oyster Bar. I keep my boat at a yacht club in that harbor. Boca is private, but at least this season they permitted transient boats for dinner there at no charge. Iíve heard mixed things on the whether they will continue to have transient slips once the place is open and at full capacity. I havenít been there yet, however, a few guys from my club took their boats there this season for dinner and drinks. Heard mixed opinions on food as well, from its not worth it to it was pretty good.

It's called Steelpointe Harbor. They are selling slips for next year at $120 per foot. The Oyster Bar is there and it's within walking distance of Chipotle, T-Mobile, Starbuck, the restaurant, and Bass Pro. Very nice docks, but at the end of the day, it's a slip in Bport Harbor for $120 a foot. No more, no less. The restaurant has slips for free if you want to dock up to eat.
