Title for a trailer in NJ... required?

I'm selling my boat and trailer and I can't find a title for the trailer. I'm not sure if I ever had one. Of course, I kept it registered. Is a title required for a trailer in NJ? (Not sure if it matters, but I estimate the trailer weighs about 600 pounds.)

No title is issued for trailers in NJ - just registration. IOW, you never had one.

New Jersey does not issue titles for boat trailers. I purchased a 7000 lb bunk trailer in Pennsylvania and transfer the tags to New Jersey. After waiting 2 months for a title I contacted the Dept. Of Motor Vehicles and they told me no titles are issued for boat trailers.
