Default Question: Bocatech switches

The bocatech switches I see you use on some of the panels look awesome. Since it functions differently than a toggle or rocker, I was curious, will they be "on" automatically whenever the panel gets powered up by the battery switch? Or will they need to be turned on individually? I'm asking because my Garmin displays turn on automatically when the batter switch is turned on. I'm hoping to install a switch to keep them off until I'm ready to power them up.

They power up when you press the button, not when the battery switch is turned on.

I am not sure if this applies to all Garmin units, but I have installed a 7610, 7612s, a 742, and a 942. There is a setting for auto power on and off. Below is a screen shot from the 942 manual. The 7600 series is the same.

correct, they don't come on automatically, you would need to turn them on upon 'start-up'
