Default your favorite knots

iv always had good luck with knots & definitely have lost more fish to crimps & then mostly because of beying impatient with fish at the boat. so what's a few of your favorite knots

for topshots on my 30s & 50s I tie a bimini in the braid then with the doubled braid I use a uni to uni to connect the mono to the braid the doubled braid makes the knots eaquel in diameter & this has never let me down

for lighter braid to mono iv recently discovered the John Collins knot it's similar to an Albright except you double the mono go thru the loop wrap the braid 5 wraps up the mono & 5 wraps back down & back thru the loop. this is quick small & strong

for braid to hooks or swivels either a Palomar or improved clinch with a few extra turns

for mono 30 or less improved clinch with the line doubled or Palomar

for mono 40 to 60 I use a clinch ( not improved) with the line doubled

for 80 & heavier mono I use a clinch (not improved) or crimps

& probably the most important if a knot doesn't draw up tite re do it

Mirrolure knot - mono loop knot for casting lures
Albright - double line braid to mono
Palomar - braid to swivels

Only a couple knots for me. Must be able to tie them in any conditions (boat rocking, darkness, etc).
Polamar - Terminal tackle (swivels)
Improved Clinch - (lures, parachutes)
Ten x Ten - Walleye Pete's easy leader to line knot
Snell Knot - For hooks, if I don't want to be lazy and just use a Polamar

That's it for me.

Bimini twist for making a loop - used all the time on my offshore stuff
Palomar for terminal connections as much as possible
Uni-uni for quick leader connections
clinch and improved clinch for connections at times when necessary depending on line size
Snell knot for hooks
Dropper loop knot for bottom rigs

Plan to learn and employ the FG when rigging leaders at home as it's a superior knot to the uni uni and use that one for quick re-rigging on the boat.

Double improved clinch knot - for most everything
Surgeons knot - joining lines, making loops
Lefty's loop know - for flies
Bimini on my offshore rigs

There are a couple of others I use but don;t know their names. Double improved is usually my go to.

Braid to leader when I am at home or idling around- FG
Braid to leader on the water and fish are biting- Royal Polaris/ Alberto knot

mono to mono or mono to fluro of similar diameter- surgeon's knot

terminal knots- San Diego Jam, improved clinch
terminal knots for heavy mono/fluro- 3 turn uni, nameless knot similar to trilene but without all the clinch loops- hard to describe..... 2 loops through the eye, one loop on leader and reverse through all 3 loops

dropper loop for bottom rigs
non-slip loop knot for most lures
