Default Fiberglass Work in Pasadena, MD

Can anyone recommend a good fiberglass guy near Pasadena, MD?

I need to have some repair work done on my boat. Boat is at PYY in Pasadena. PYY doesn't have a fiberglass guy on staff and don't seem to have a relationship with anyone. I need the following done in order of priority:

Plug, Patch and Glass holes in transom below waterline where 4 underwater lights are currently mounted. I'll be replacing the lights but the new ones require smaller holes.

Replace some soft wood under the rod holders on the port gunwale. Covering board is fine, but it looks like water got into the screw holes for the 3 port side rod holders and softened the wood. Need to cut out the damage, and glass a block of wood in, then re-drill hole for rod holder.

Cut out fish box drain and lower the drain one inch. The drain in the transom fish box stands about 1/2 inch proud of the bottom of the fish box. This means that the box doesn't completely drain.

Assess some soft wood in the base of one of the cooler boxes. This isn't structural, and isn't a priority. I may cut these boxes out next winter anyway to convert it to mezzanine seating.

Thanks, Jeremy

Jeremy -

I am very rarely surprised by quality of work on most anything. Call me old fashioned, i like things done right and to my standards. That being said - Steve from Annapolis Fiberglass and Gelcoat did some work for me, and i was very impressed. Not the cheapest, probably not the fastest - but my anal retentive eyes couldn't tell he had ever touched the boat.

Annapolis Gelcoat & Fiberglass Repairs, Maryland

They are mobile - i ended up taking my WorldCat to their shop, only because it was quicker that way.

FWIW - this time of the year, heading into spring, you'll have trouble nailing anyone down.....................everyone racing to get ready for the season leaves them with plenty of work.

Good luck either way

Fiberglass Unlimited - Ft. Smallwood Rd.
They are not far from PYY marine.

They did decent work for me 10 years ago. Not sure if they are the same folks operating the business now.

Steve worked on my boat last year to fix another guys screw up. First guy couldn't match the white gelcoat to save his life. Steve knocked it out and it is damn near impossible to tell. He came to my boat that was slipped.

Quality work and very responsive. He's known to be one of the best gelcoat/fiberglass guys in the area and the best Awlgrip painter too.
