I have to work Friday. Will be going Saturday morning. I am in the market for a new PWC. Love the new Sea Doo's with their fishing friendly options.

I did see a beautiful Jupiter CC with two brand new 425HP Yamahas hanging off the back on the interstate this morning. I am going to assume it was headed for the boat show.

OK... Thanks. The Ocean City Boat show is next weekend. It is small. I usually go as it is a good way to kill a winter weekend.

Went to the boat show today, saw lots of dream boats. Also ran into local Youtubers 1Fish2Fish and chatted with them for awhile. Oceans East had some good guest speakers too.

Default Richmond Boat Show

For those that have been....Is the Richmond show geared towards the Largemouth/Freshwater fishermen or more the Bay type? I have never been to this show but did go to the Doswell show and it was almost entirely Freshwater themed.

Who bought a new boat? Looked like some really good deals considering the strong economy and boat pricing these days. Saw many packages about 15-20% off list prices and lots of sold signs.

Been several times but not in the last 5 years or so.
click on the link above and go through the list of exhibitors.

Yes about 80% crap(ie bath fitters) and freshwater (PWC, pontoons, bass boats)
But enough entry level stuff to keep beginner boaters happy.

Only top tier boats are usually Grady. will be Seahunts, tidewaters, etc
The show is nothing special- ok time killer if its cold and rainy and you haven't got a lot to do.

I ended up going on Sunday to look at a Sea Doo PWC and was very disappointed that none of the dealers were really offering any kind of a discount off of MSRP. Sea Doo was offering a $250 gas card as an incentive, but that is about as far as most of them were willing to go on a "boat show deal." We were able to get one dealer to offer a 6% discount, which was better than nothing I guess.

Not in a rush to buy anything though, so I can wait for the right deal. I just thought that the boat show would be the best time to purchase a new sled. Oh well!

I did look hard at a 25' CC Sea Hunt. It was very nice and had lots of upgraded features like three live wells, nice electronics, twin 150's and a side door, but it felt a little cramped in the cockpit. It had a show price of $95K which is more than I am willing to pay for a 25 CC. I know it is chump change for some of you guys on here, but $100K for a seasonal toy........well, it is not for me...Maybe a used one down the road is a better option.

I was there on Sunday as well. I did see a lot of sold signs on boats. I really didn't know how expensive boats are when purchased new
I am in the market for a Dual Console in the 22 to 23 ft range. There were a few there but all $60K plus. Best pricing looked to be Nauticstar. I'll have to research them. It was a fun going to the show and climbing all over some really nice boats!

Rocksandblues, Thanks! It is supposed to be cold and rainy/snowy on Saturday so it will be a perfect day to wonder around the Raceway
