Default Summer trip to fells point

Taking boat to fells point probably docking at Henderson's Wharf. Not staying on boat, so any recommendations on places to stay? Food? Places to stay away from?
Thanks!!!!

Fells Point is a blast. Too many options to list. Just stay in Fells Point or Little Italy and you'll be fine. Why not stay in the boat?

You have to go to Max's Taphouse and grab some beers.

If you're a wing fan, then you owe it to yourself to go to Kisling's as well. They are without a doubt my favorite wings. It's a great hole-in-the-wall type corner restaurant. It's about a quarter mile from the heart of Fells.

Ale Mary's is another neat little bar/restaurant with interesting food combinations. For instance, last time I was there I had tater tots loaded with cheese, pulled pork bbq and cole slaw. Not a healthy meal, but man it was good.

Cat's Eye Pub is a cool bar that has a lot of live music. It's on a cool little strip of Fells. Funky pirate/nautical theme and been around since the 70's.

Just remember, you will be in Baltimore. Be safe. Have fun!

OP, what kind of food do you like and for bars what atmosphere?

Don't go north of Eastern Ave. The closer to the water you remain the better. You can even walk the promenade along the water to get to Canton/Inner Harbor/Federal Hill.

Eh, I'd stay away from the Inner Harbor after dark.

Stay within a couple of blocks of the water and don't go exploring. Remember, Baltimore drivers will not stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk.

Harbor East area has a lot of places to shop, drink and eat. A little on the "pricey side" but still fun.

I agree, if money is no object you could keep your boat at Harbor east marina and stay at the four seasons, Marriot or Hilton. that's a nice area. you still may want to be careful late at night away from the crowds, I fish that area alone sometimes early in the morning and had a few conflicts, the gangs will come up on you fast. LOL

Not staying on boat because no where to sleep. Only on a 26ft cc.I have been to Fells Point a couple time before (not by boat) Just as day trips never stayed. Never sat down to eat always bar food. Has anyone ever docked at Henderson's Wharf? Good, bad , safe?
We will not be leaving fell point aera.

Henderson's Wharf marina is pretty safe. I have a few friends who keep their boats there and they seem to like it. If you want a really good Italian style lunch and don't feel like going to Little Italy take your boat over to Harborview Marina. DiPasquale's has excellent food and outside dining there.

If dead set to stay in Fells and not venture to it's nextdoor neighbor's Be sure to grab a beer at The Horse You Came In On. I think it may be the oldest continually run bar in America. Where Edgar Allen Poe used to drink and was the night of his death.

Food, Thames St. Oyster House good higher end raw bar. Black Olive is amazing greek food. Kooper's burger is phenomenal. Brick Oven Pizza is good. If Woody's still exists upstairs overlooking the water great rum bar with amazing fish tacos. Taqueria Sinaloa has the best tacos in Baltimore.

Drinking, depends on your mood. If you want trendy, Bond Street Social. One Eyed Mikes is good. Everyone says Max's, but I've never been a fan.

If you want to go a few blocks east of Fells over towards Canton, Bartenders Pub is my favorite place in Baltimore. I used to live across the street. Really good bar pies. Dive neighborhood bar that has low and high end booze and beers. The bartenders are the owners and great guys. Basically, they were career bartenders who got fed up with having to play by other people's rules, and all quit and opened their own place.

Stay south of Eastern Avenue for safety.

I have had a slip at Henderson's for 16 years. It is safe and friendly. All walks of life there.
Have you considered the hotel @ Henderson's? It is also very nice.
