Default 2019 Judge Open House

Bill has announced the date for this year's open house. It is a great time to tour the factory, see his boats, and chat with owners about their boats. Event serves as a thank you to Judge owners and a way to meet new potential owners. Be sure to RSVP to bill@judgeyachts.com if you are going so he can be sure to have enough refreshments.

I will be there too if you want to chat about fishing the bay.

Here is a list of the expected models on display:
  • 18cc
  • 22cc
  • 265cc
  • 27 Chesapeake
  • 36 Chesapeake outboard
  • 36 Chesapeake inboard.
The entire shop from the lamination building with the molds, to the assembly bay and rigging bay will be open to tour. Only building generally closed is the paint booth in the back. There will be boats at various stages of construction.

One thing to note if you are looking for something new is that the NEW 27 Chesapeake top deck will be on display. Not a lot of changes to the popular model. Mostly new molded boxes in the transom.

Make sure you walk to the back building if you can attend. That is where all the molds are and lamination takes place.

Thank you to those who attended the Open House this year. It was great seeing many current and past Judge owners and meeting many new faces who are interested in the boats.

If you missed the Open House and are interested in touring the facility and seeing the Judge line of boats, email info@judgeyachts.com or call 410-479-9770 to schedule a time to come in. They would LOVE to have you.

I was hoping to see Judge Yachts at the OC boat show, I was very disappointed.

It was a great afternoon. Once again, Thanks to Bill for letting us all get together and bullchit about our boats and lie about our fishing abilities

guess you should have gone to open house then

judge owners are nothing if not accommodating I am sure one would let you take a look at whatever model you are interested in.

I really am not in the market since I have a new Steiger, I may have considered a Judge if they were at the AC boat show, I was not even aware of the company. I love looking at PH boats though.

Judge is a factory direct, build-to-order manufacturer without an inventory. Typically boat shows havent been the bread and butter of their sales because you cannot just sign and go home with a boat. Judge's buyers tend to be experienced boaters who know what they want in a boat and have it made to their specs and are willing to wait for the boat to be built. (which is why there are so few on the used market and they hold their value well too) However, I agree that boat shows could be a good tool in bringing more notoriety to the brand outside of the mid-atlantic and we have discussed possibly doing the AC and Miami shows in the future. Most likely would start with a Judge 36 Chesapeake.

Great time, nice to meet you in person Greg, and I'm told 6-8 more weeks of waiting on my 27 Chesapeake.

They look like really nice boats and probably would have been on my radar for sure if I had known about them. I looked at the Steigers at the AC Show every year and dreamed. I went every year to renew Seatow and in 2017 I made the purchase, but I looked at the Parkers and Defiants, Maycraft was there but wasn't even close and I know the dealer. I can't get enough of PH boats though and love to crawl all over them. I have a friend that lives in Maryland and he bought a Steiger as well but he probably would have looked at Judge but we were totally unaware of the brand. Who wouldn't want a quality boat built in your back yard?

If your friend has been on the Chesapeake Bay at all he would have likely noticed the brand. There are many days on the bay when there are more Judges seen on the water than the other brands you mentioned.

He's over in Assawoman Bay, not far from the factory.
