We did try it another day with out the unit configured correctly and it didn't work worth a shit. Make sure you complete the configuration in calm water like a marina.
Yes, 36V 84" shaft.
You know what, I have still not calibrated the center and the compass. I keep forgetting about that. I have that big anchor below it. I'll do that next time out. I'd say my boat is about 7K lb.

You absolutely need to calibrate the center point and compass; take the couple minutes prior next time and wait till you see the difference. I have zero doubts it will hold your boat. Good luck!

That Rhodan looks like a pretty badass tool if it operates as described! Hold you over some structure without having to constantly redrop anchor as tide and wind shift? Just ball park, what do they run$$?? Assuming you install yourself?

Went to the Wilmington Saturday. Trolled north up the 100 line to the spencer. Caught over 50 false albacore. Could not get the whole spread out all day. Ton of bait and life out there. Whales. Two tones. Birds. Sunfish. Makos eating the albacore off. Was a great day just no love from the tuna. Not that they had a chance to get past the greenies. I suspect they were close by and looking at the water that moved in there today I would bet they are there. Greenies were loaded with small squid 4-6 and tiny mackerel. Im headed back that way first chance I get.

Heard there was a bluefin caught in the canyons yesterday. First of the season, I believe. Awaiting more details.

Update: 100lb bluefin by the Restless Lady docked at Talbot St. Out off the back side of the canyons, not sure which one. They got info from a commercial longliner.

I did not spend as much as CoreyJoseph on the charger and batteries.
I put in $110 each Marine Deep cycle and a $150 I think Minn Kota charger. In a couple years I think I'll go Lithium if the prices come down. I'd like to regain some space/weight if I can.
I have a Pontoon and I'm thinking of ways to do short 1-2hr trips on it using Lithium or LiPo.
I tell you what, for the labor, yup, $1K is darn fair a price for the install. There is ALOT of planning and figuring out of parts and placement.
If there is a boaters group on facebook for your boat, you'd be good to join that and search on rhodan or minn kota for how people did the installs.

You can look at the Rhodan Thread that started and grew over in the florida section

Going Rhodan!

Hammer Down 5/11 Report:

Had a great day in the Baltimore yesterday. Fished a hard change from 59* and 64.5*. Picked at them all morning with just my dad and brother on the boat finished 10 for 12 by 11:30. We kept a 35”, 42” and 48”.

Sterling Tackle wide trackers, 5 3/4 oz joe shutes on flatlines, spreader bars, and greenstick all caught fish for us. Fish were loaded with baby squid.

Nice work guys. Let me know if you are looking for another hand on deck or with the petro. I couldnt find anyone wanting to head out there and knew there was a window for it to be hot.
