Default Baltimore Harbor & boat ramps

Does anyone know the closest public boat ramp to the harbor? I looked at the Canton Waterfront Park boat ramp online but it says no large boats (over 16').

Thanks for any info.

Not sure what it's called but there's a ramp right under the Key Bridge, west side. Google earth it.

Thanks. I think you may be referring to Ft. Armistead Park? Don't think I'd want to leave my truck/trailer there, especially in the evening. I was looking to check out the fireworks next week from the water.

There used to be one at Harbor Hospital off of Hanover Street. I guess it is still there .

Personally I would not use either Ramp for the Fireworks. Both are in sketchy areas with sketchy People! If You go to the Fireworks in the Harbor, Plan on staying until most everyone leaves. Don't know if it's the same as it was 20 yrs. ago or so. But, when they are over ,it's a cluster F.. of idiots racing to the Ramps all at once in the dark! I went 1 time years ago and swore to never do it again!

First, the Boston St. ramp can easily accommodate a 30 ft boat. Parking vehicle & trailer on a holiday weekend if not there way early could be an issue.
Second, heed Lone Ranger's advice. A lot of zombies will be out. Maybe consider staying/leaving boat in a slip for the night. Plenty of lips to be had in the inner harbor.
Check out Henderson's Wharf Marina in Fells Point. Great place to watch the fireworks and party should you choose to do so.

Thanks all. Well, I definitely won't be heading to the bmore harbor since they are currently having a big pollution event right now spilling in there.

Last time I launched in Baltimore was at Broening Park Boat Ramp. It is near the hospital on the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River. I did not have any problem with leaving my vehicle there, but it was just for the afternoon and not a big holiday.

When I had a trailer boat, I used that ramp frequently. I used to live 10 minutes from there. It is a nice facility. The neighborhood around it, so so, but there is a caretaker on the property. Not sure who is the caretaker there now, but old Sam (RIP) didn’t let anything go on there. I believe the gate gets closed at dusk. I slip my boat just up the creek now at Anchor Bay East/Hard Yacht Cafe.
MD Fishtanks, I don’t think that the “event” whatever it is, will have an effect on the display. Just a thought, but you could launch early, and line up a slip for the night at Anchor Bay, 5 minutes from the ramp, tie up there after the fireworks and pull the boat in the morning. If you are interested in contacting them, send me a PM.
