can an you elaborate a little on the moon cycle thing? I've never heard that. Always heard 68* water but it makes sense since so many other cycles run off the moon

Take it for what it is but saw two separate FB posts reporting C&R fish out of VB today. If I can find a crew I'm going scouting tomorrow.

Lots of things go by moon cycle. When do you start picking soft shells out of the marsh? Always the first full moon in may

They're hear to spawn. Just because we don't see them up top, doesn't mean they're not here. There was talk of opening season may 15.

Good morning. When Grandview Pier was still in existence we would start seeing fish about mid-May every year. I believe that many of the Cobia that enter the Chesapeake Bay spawn somewhere along the western shoreline from the Rappahannock on down to the HRBT area. Seems as though they are always on the heels of the Sheepshead....

Went out on a scouting mission today. Cruised from CH to rudee and up the channel to the fourth. Tons of rays and turtles. No doubt they are here, just didn't cross paths with any today. Go get em boys

Nope, no luck. Only life was a cow nose in the first 20 minutes. Got there at 9 (wanted to be set up much earlier but not my boat) left at 130. Stiff wind was opposite current until 11, major pain. All the hills are different over in Grandview, we set up in 9'. Probably should of been closer to beach, we were in the desert. 70° water

I'll be setting up near fisherman's island on Saturday and always looking for buddy boats. Will be on 86 if anyone is looking to partner up. Boat name is "Jena Lee."

Charters are posting catches "In the bay". Believable but could also be BS. I've seen them posting pics from previous seasons before claiming it was recent
