From coastalfisherman.net

"8:45 AM - Looks like the first tuna of the year was caught this morning by an angler on the charter boat, "Marli". Caught an "under" bluefin tuna.

9:37 AM - Report just came in that the anglers aboard the charter boat, "Marli" now have their 3 "under" bluefins in the box. These fish will measure 27-inches to less than 47-inches.

10:33 AM - Anglers on the charter boat, "Marli" have just put 3 yellowfins in the box to go with the 3 bluefins caught earlier.

Is anyone else tempted by that water just past Poorman's, or am I just being too eager?

Fun day on Friday, the ride out in the morning was one of the best we ever had. Coming back was rather snotty, picked up a 100# BFT and some tilefish, both golden and blue lines.

First trip of the year for Deep 6, and first trip for the new boat. Went deep to the poor man's and found water at 67°. Went 2/3 on smaller Yellowfin. Pretty snotty out there as forecasted. Boat handled better than expected. Had three people in the cabin riding comfortable the whole trip. I saw one cc out there, maybe that was you dime??? Whoever it was had a wet ride home.

Wasn't us, we went out on Friday. The ride out was one of the best on record, coming back was anything but.

Default Extra crew

If anyone is looking for an extra hand this year Send me a pm. I work full time as a firefighter in Richmond but that allows me to fish some week days. Thanks !

Anyone make it out Monday? Got pretty nasty so we turned around and just stuck around the inlet (IRI) for a while. Looked like a few other boats made the same decision

Still pretty far out, but I see 10-15 kts in the Baltimore / Poormans area on Saturday. Getting better as you go north and getting a little lighter wind as the day goes on. I'm considering it if that forecast holds, in my 29 Regulator. Following-ish seas on the run out and laying down slightly in the afternoon. I'm willing to fight some chop if there's still good water out there. We'll see closer in.

We are planning on fishing Friday and Saturday if the forecast holds in the mako mania tourney. Hope that NE blow on Saturday night/Sunday pushes out a little, but right now both days look decent.
