Fished Sunday and it was slow for us. Slow, wet ride in a 23' CC but I'm still glad we went. Only boxed 4 dolphin, had a few short strikes and 1 mystery bite on a diving plug. Pulled a shit ton of line then spit the hook while the girlfriend was getting the belt and harness on. Still a great day, she got to reel in her first pelagics.

Lighten up Francis I know the captain and was just joking around. Should've used Cosmic Sans font so all knew sarcasm was the intention.

fished yesterday, stayed inshore about 25 miles out. swivel broke apart on a big blue fin that dumped an 80, and had two whites crash our spread.

Has anyone heard of YF success chunking around Massey, Hambone, Hotdog, etc? Went out to Rockpile and Washington last Friday with just two of us on a 38 Jupiter CC and all the tournament boats. We went 4/6 on Marlin with 2 blues and 2 white and some Mahi but wives are ready for some tuna. Planning to head out again Friday from Sunset and would love to hit a YF chunk bite. Would love to hear groupís thoughts.

Little birdie told me hotdog was producing some YF's on the troll.... Not sure why it wouldn't produce for anyone trying to chunk.

If the weather is decent Iím going to try Massys this coming weekend. If nothing there I will try the Hot Dog. First time this year for ďinshoreĒ. Iíve been going to Poor Mans and Baltimore. I plan to take stuff for both trolling and chunking. Hopefully they bite on the troll. Iím not a big fan of chunking.

If Friday looks doable when it gets closer I might try to make a run to the inshore lumps to try some trolling/chunking.

Do I have a dumb question for you VB offshore guys how late into the season is it worth going offshore . I can't make up my mind to renew my HMS permit or not and I won't get my boat backnfor at.least another 2 weeks. I would love to catch a tuna this year but would be happy with mahi.

I have run out into early November. Just depend when the first real shot of cold weather hits. Actually some of the best fishing has been September and October for me at least. It would be a real bummer to be out there chasing Mahi and have to cut a nice big tuna loose. I go out of Indian River Inlet so Iím north of you

I did good in Washington last Saturday south of the tip in 50-100 fathoms stayed away from the fleat & it worked out good for us. but that was last week !!

best lure by far for me this year has been blue-white islander trackers on the long
riggers 100-125 yds back

good luck
