I don't fish tourney's and I chunk away, there are tuna there but the fleet has them pushed deep running back and forth. Start chunking and the fish will come!!! In fact the other weekend when I was out the bite was very here and there, but remember these fish are in schools so where you get 1 bite there are more but they are skittish. If I would have remembered my butterfish that morning it would have been started already.

Looking for some reliable crew members. Mine bailed on me last minute for today. Ended up just bottom fishing. I’m in Long Neck/ Potnets. Boats a 25’ seahunt with twins and relatively cheap to run. Pm me if you’re interested and available for weekend or weekday trips.

I'm interested McSyd. I try to fish 1 or 2 days a week, but I have 2 kids under 2 years old and time can be short. I don't think I've canceled or missed a fishing trip in the last 3 years. Weekdays are best for me.

Fished the washington saturday with the others. Caught some mahi to 25# on a nice weedline. Finally got our tuna bite out in the flat ~300ft Jumped off a white. Also jumped off a ~200# mako after he put on a wild aerial show for us, hook just pulled

Washington Canyon 6/30 - put lines in at 645am immediately got a small Mahi on, the rest of the morning was slow other than a White Marlin messing with the baits but couldn't get him. Early afternoon got 2 nice gaffer Mahi then headed back after.

Tough fishing for us Monday. Saw a log at first light in 40 ftms and bailed some (3) gaffers off it but they were tough to get to bite. Highlight of the day was a 15 lbs+ dolphin that hit an eel jig. Got on the troll in the poormans and only one small keeper tuna. Wrapped it up with some blue lines on the way back in. Fair haul of meat, but slow troll bite was a little disappointing.

Default another awesome day

7-2 started at the navy bouys only got 1 dolphin & 2 trigger fish headed east & found a grass mat in 35 fathoms. there were a few boats there & the mahi were very skittish got 4-5 & a bunch of bar jacks & trigger fish. started trolling & got a few more mahi & a white it was a 13 year old boys 2nd time offshore & he got the white VERY COOL.

headed for Norfolk trolled up the North wall got a 150# mako to the boat & it went nuts before a pic could be taken. Damn things are MEAN tried to eat my boat. pulled a wwwb & a planer around 26 mile hill on the way home no bites - life - marks

Caught 3 mahi, 1 skippy and lost a wahoo outside the hot dog today. Pretty bumpy, but a decent day.

7/3, we had a late start and only got out for a few hours. Didn't find the inshore tuna bite, probably because of the 82 degree water temps. We did find some mahi and triggers on a floating bucket around the Hambone.

7/4 made run north of the Wilmington to a nice temp break. Water was 76 deg. Landed right on the fish. Went 13 for 16 on yellow fin. 20-40lbs. Limit in boat at 11 am headed back to barn

I want to get out there some kind of bad but Thursday's wind direction and speed is going to keep me home. I have a "stay at home rule" when it comes to NE winds regardless of what the wave height FORECAST is. Saturday looks good for now but the forecasts are changing daily. That storm needs to move its ass out of there.
