Let's get this started now. Post tips, tricks, pics and of course, reports. I'm ready. These pretty weather days are killing me.

Same, I'm figuring my first trip out will be somewhere around May 20, give or take.

Rods rigged, engine work done, so ready to rock for this year once water pushes. Just have to put the outriggers back on and trailer the boat to the beach. That said, no good water in sight out of OCMD so I'll be fishing the Bay until the first break comes in. Eyeing the sat shots closely...

I use Oceantemp.com, but there are number of sites that offer similar functionality. Just the one I'm familiar with. Lots of cold green water off MD/VA right now.

Cletus, is that a 'cloud free SST' shot? The service I subscribed to last year didn't impress me a whole lot. It seemed a lot of the shots (especially chlorophyll shots) were a whole day sometimes 2 days behind. How up to date is this service? Does it show your position on the chart while offshore?

My first year offshore in my own boat. I can't wait. But my boat is still in the fiberglass shop and I still need to rewire(not necessary but wanted to get new wiring harnesses for the engines and run some new electronics wiring).

We will be out. I'll be looking for buddy boats for over nighters. We will be running our new 30' Sea Hunt.
