Default 2017 Fishing reports

Went out today in the rain. We managed a few rockfish jigging but it was slow as one would expect for this time of year. Showpan had the fish of the day and nice mid 30's fish.

Great job!!! We were only able to catch 4 keeper size rockfish yesterday and perching was slow yesterday. Sunday was a different story with the perch. We filled the boat and were back to the dock and picked out before 3:00pm. Got to take the bad days with the good.

1/14 & 1/15 Report. Less wind = more fish. Found some more perch on the eastern side of the channel in the mid bay over the weekend. You have to do a little searching to find the schools, but you can find enough to make it worthwhile.

Of course thinking about it!!! But trying to the boat, camper and house ready for the first flounder trip. Hoping for some more weekends like this one get everything done. Already started watching the water temps at Wachapreaque Va. On the cold rainy weekends getting my fix tying rigs and servicing reels. Oh did say I hate winter.

I keep my eye on the water temp. Sometimes as early as the 3th week of March. Want the water to be in the low 50's for a few nice days. Also have a few locals that will keep me in the loop.

Only time He Fishes! I keep wanting to go down earlier every year, but between tradition, and by the time I get My Crap together,I still haven't managed to do it..Always have a good time though and LOVE the area!! I know it's a bit late to go and We don't usually do all that good that late....Been wanting to try the Wrecks and maybe do a bit better?? Do ya' all Fish Folly?

My friends usually go for the whole week of the flounder tournament, which is around the last week of April. Fishing is usually pretty good then.
