Default Offshore Buddy boating Va Beach

Looking for folks interested in going Offshore Buddy boating off Va Beach. If interested please PM me for further details.

I'm not new to boating but never gone out off shore before.

Boat is a 25’ Proline center console Single Merc 250

I just want to try offshore but would like some guidance from those that know what to do and where to do it.

I live in Portsmouth but can trailer anywhere.

I'd be interested once I get the new engines on the proline.

I'm new to this area and am interested in some buddy boating and coaching... Haven't caught a single fish yet, but got the itch!

I'm always down to buddy boat... If y'all wanna talk shoot me a message.. I put in at Lynnhaven and owl creek most of the time. I have plans for the triangle wrecks and a few other offshore wrecks this summer.. Will certainly be at the tower reef/wrecks and a few of the not so far offshore wrecks about mid may...

I have had no luck fishing ether. I need a fishing for dummies book! You could become rich with one of those. Well let me correct myself. I've been very successful fishing. Its catching that I have had no luck with. I hope this year will bring a change. cjg367 Has promised to take me under his wing and teach me some new moves.

You might consider joining our fishing club. The Portsmouth Anglers Club meets the 3rd Monday of the month. 5006 Vick St, just off City Park Ave. http://portsmouthanglersclub.net/

Hey I am new to this area too. My boat will be at the Little Creek Base Marina and I would also like to do some trips offshore. If you want we could even swap trips. One on mine, one on yours if you don't have too many people to take. I've fished 6 in my cockpit before but prefer no more than 4. PM me as I will be putting my boat in the water this week.

definitely doable I will caution on single engine
make sure all safety gear is up to date epirb radar back up gps and radio you can always limp in on 1 engine if you have twins good tow line and a really good buddy willing to tow you back just in case
may want to try inshore lumps and hills 25-35 miles until you are comfortable
tight lines

I hear ya on single vs twins. Plan to start shopping for a 25'+ w/ twins after we get settled in and figure out what kind of electronics, CC vs WA, trailer vs wet slip vs dry dock, etc. My saltwater experience is limited to the keys and the Bahamas so coming from a freshwater home lake I know I have a lot to learn.

TrickyRick - we will be living in a neighborhood that fronts Little Creek Inlet. Boat will likely be in dry storage at Bay Point/Little Creek Marina there.

Better yet, make sure your Boat US or SeaTow membership is current.

Default Let's Fish!

Always up to pitch in for gas and bait. Any kind of fishing is good with me.
