I go there almost every weekend and have been going there for many years. If you have a 2 foot draft I would not suggest going inside the barriers. When the tide is low you can hit the bottom. I have taken my 23 footer in there a few times but I always had to keep checking the depth to avoid grounding. There are some areas that are deeper than others but as a rule of thumb I stay out of there. Some people intentionally ground their boats on the beach but I don't want the hull of my boat coming in contact with sand so I never do that either.

Yeah, I wouldn't go inside, or even that close to them. At 2 foot draft, you're getting pretty close to at least banging your skeg on that hard sand bottom when waves come by if your drive isn't up pretty far. I generally stay a bit further out, but I also draw a little more than you do. I still see some pretty big cruisers pretty far in, wondering how they aren't banging the crap out of the hull at times.
