Default Middle Bay Fishing Reports?

I caught 3 good sized rockfish the other day (38, 39, 41,). Caught off the CR buoy with a yellow tandem, white tandem and a single parachute (white) Anyone catch anything off the west side of the bay? Morning bite caught all 3 fish with nothing in the afternoon. First full season on the bay any insight would be appreciated.

It has been slow but we have picking up a few on the west of the deep water by bloody point. Biggest on Friday was 41" and the biggest last Sat was 44" and just over 35lbs at Anglers. While I run mostly 9" baits, the few 6" shads on bucktails have been producing. Most fish have come off of deeper rods too. Planer lines have been noticably quiet. Here are the bait marks we picked fish off of on Friday. We trolled south traversing the deep water edge until we found a pod of bait that we worked for a couple of hours.

Saturday (3 Dec) was horrible. I had two guys with me who have mated on charter boats for 20+ years. Even with all that experience and 19 rods in the water we came home empty handed. Marked a lot of bait and, stayed on it all day and didn't get so much as knockdown. We were in the Mid-Bay area, between North Beach and Solomons.
