Default DC Trip

Hey guys,

I'm heading to DC tomorrow night and have Friday to see some sights and explore the city. Any suggestions on what is a must see or possibly non-touristy things that would be good to do. Last time I was down there was about 11 years ago in high school so I've been to a couple of the monuments and museums. Open to all suggestions and appreciate any help. Thanks!

When I lived there 20 years ago there was a place at P & 22nd NW called the Brickskeller. They boasted the worlds largest selection of beer, it was a hole in the wall but cool. If it's still there I would recommed that.

Also in Vienna there was a place called the Vienna Inn, cold beer and some of the best hotdogs you will ever eat!

With Kids I would do the air and space. Either the one on the mall or the annex near dulles airport (or both).

Spy Museum is probably the hottest ticket these days and the Natl. Portrait Gallery across the street from it has recently under gone a 3 year renovation and is really neat.

Go out to the Smithsonian Air and Space Annex (Udvar Hazy) at Dulles to see some great planes, imax, etc. It's better than the one on the mall!
