I use charter lakes in grassonville or maybe it’s on Kent island. They seem fine to me

Why not renew with your current carrier?

Anybody use Erie? I've been with them for close to 20 years for everything but I'll be getting my first boat in the spring and I'm wondering if I should just add the boat with them or is there a better (and cheaper) option.

I have been happy with recreational insurance from Progressive in the past so I used them for my boat. They had the best rates on the types of motorcycles I had plus when I was in a hit and run situation on my bike they took care of me 100%, the adjuster came to look at my gear I was wearing and thanked me for saving them a lot of money in medical, paid out full retail on all my gear, that was a $2k check. Way easier than making claims with State Farm or All state that I had in the past.

I think ours is with charter lakes. Insurance is worth checking around and asking for info as you are.

I looked into using them a few years ago and the cost was substantially higher than the other major carriers. Ended up with Boat US before the Geico contract.
