Default Chester river fishing options

I am hoping to take grand kids fishing several times this summer up the Chester near Lankford Creek. Any tips would be appreciated. Not looking for any specific species, just action for the kids.

Thanks.

I’ve never fished Langford bay but have goose and duck hunted it. Very nice water and great scenery

I trailer down to long cove and fish out of there often, more so in the fall. Plenty of holes and structure to fish around as you make your way out of langford, most plotters will show it all

Thanks to both of you. It is some beautiful shore line. This will be on a little boat with no gadgets but we will find some holes I hope.

Lot of the points/shoals up that way will hold plenty of rockfish in the evenings. Eastern Neck Island can be good - particularly Hail Point but that's maybe six miles or so from Langford. Peelers on any of the points around channel markers inside Langford and across in Corsica should keep grandkids happy with rockfish and perch with a few catfish to boot.

Agreed with everyone else, plenty of holes. Make sure to take some crabs for bait. Take advantage of all the duck blinds for structure.

If you go up the Chester River to Southeast Creek you can load up on Channel Catfish.
