Default Headed to Chincoteague

In the morning to try for some flounder. Buoy data has water temps at 62. Winds looks reasonable.

where were you going to put in if you went ??? Thought the Island was still closed or locked down to residents only, was curious as to using the ramp out of Chincoteague to run offshore...

I called Steve’s bait and Tackle, they said no problem getting on the island. Hotels, rentals, restaurants closed. He said there were a few ramps open. I didn’t get details on them....thought i would just get them in the morning.

Fished with 2 buddies and caught 7 keepers on Sat. Fished out of Chincoteague but south. Water was dirty early and cleared up a little by 10:30 and bite was on for less than 2 hrs. Last of outgoing.

I fished Assateague channel on Saturday as well. Got my only keeper just off the fire company dock. The only place that didn’t have major grass.

I didn't see it but a buddy of mine lives in wachapreague & said there were over 60 vehicles with trailers parked both sat & sun. He said the magority were MD, Del & Pa. Said it was unbelievable the entire trailer parking lot was full & both sides of two streets with vehicles & trailers. Said it took him 45 minutes to put his boat in. He lives there & offshore fishes with me so I believe it to be true. He was drum fishing not flounder so I don't have a flounder report. He did catch one drum

Quick question. Haven’t fished the ES in many years, but I never had that algae looking crap fouling my rigs before. Is that something relatively recent? Does it continue as water temps come up?
