70 degrees even after a front. Crazy weather. Made the most of it. Found some crappie in a tidal river.

Yesterday was beautiful! Forecast for today - more of the same. I may be too sick to go to work.

The weather has been very mild and enjoyable as a human... let's hope that there isn't a sudden shift / cold snap that stuns all of the fish in the shallows.... we have had 2 winters without a significant fish kill and if we can make it through this winter without a fish kill, that would lend itself to a healthy and strong spring for things like Speckled Trout... Long term, we're going to be seeing A LOT of changes to the coastline and to fish migration patterns due to rapid climate change Tight Lines

The fishery just has to hold on for 20-25 more years. That’s it.... after that maybe the next generation can invent some mechanical electronic fish to bite the hook?

Anyone who duck hunts does not share your sentiment. That being said, I was tempted to cut off the shrink wrap and launch the boat yesterday.

I'm with you there. It's been way too warm to get on the fowl. I think a cold front is coming this weekend or next so I'm hoping for a little more bird activity soon before the season ends here in VA.

I heard that as well. I am from Richmond and we are expecting around an inch. I suspect the Northern Neck area where I usually hunt may see the same amount. Unfortunately I will be away from my normal hunting spots this weekend and will be out near the Harrisonburg area. I think they are expecting around 3 inches. I may get a chance to get on some geese on Saturday so it would definitely be a cool experience to hunt in the snow!

If it gets to the higher side of that estimate, it's time for all the corvettes, mustangs and camaros people drive in the snow here to get stuck and abandoned. Leaving the plows unable to plow. Oof.
