Hauled down to VB for some night fishing. The bite was fantastic, I lost count at 10 but I think I ended up around 30 specks from 17-23". I also lost a bigger one that I won't forget about soon. Most fish were on a Mirrolure 52MPD and a Zoom swimming super fluke. Water temp was 55-56.

BTL, Very nice, well done!

Looks like you were rewarded for the trailer ride down to VA Beach.
Thanks for sharing the post

Slow bite today, but we squeaked out a few. 22.5, 21, 18.5, 17. Peaceful, not another boat in sight. Happy easter everyone

Early morning in the inlet this morning fished for 2.5hrs caught over 2 man limit on specs 18-21” and about a 1 man limit on puppy drum. Quite a few 1/2” to 1” short on the puppy drum. One over slot. All fish thrown back for Easter!

wasnt too bad running out in the morning. about a foot maybe foot and a half. to be expected with a 12mph sw wind and an outgoing tide. current slacked up and it layed down from about 9-11. by 1pm it was a solid 3ft following sea on the way in. made the best of it. slowest day ive had yet, but the best quality for the year

So crazy. i swear they start down there first every year. Either that or there's more reports due to population. Haven't heard squat about the Poquson Flats or Mobjack. Go to see they're here either way!!

I have fished the tubes two weekends in a row. Boats stacked on top of each other. Watching boats try to anchor 5-10 times nearly running into everyone. People fishing 30-40ft boats not being able to anchor and not being prepared. What’s going on? Fishing isn’t even that good there only caught two keepers this morning and didn’t see any other keepers caught or people catching in general. People not using wreck anchors on the tube is not a good idea.

Fished York River this afternoon. Not a bite. Not a splash. Not a sign of life. Spoke to a guy that had started the day in Mobjack and then switched over to Wormley Creek - not a bite. Talked to two kayak fisherman and both said nothing. Hopefully the fish will show up soon.

I was all set to go out this afternoon to fish the outgoing tide - earliest I have ever had the boat ready. TWO dead batteries. I forgot to switch off the radio after I launched her 2 weeks ago to put her on the lift. Maybe in the morning. . .

Slow day but made the beat of it. Fished 8-2 and caught my first citation tog at 9lb 3oz. Only kept 3 for dinner. Slowest bit of the season thus far for us.

I fished around Gwynn’s Island and a few places along the P’tank and had similar “success.” Nada...nothing...zilch.

water temp was around 57°. Still fun to be out on the water.

I was able to get out yesterday from sunrise to about 1pm. We started inside Lynnhaven but didn't do anything--I could frankly use a smaller boat to fish that area. We had some live hard crabs so we decided to hit to fourth island to salvage the day with some tog. We caught three, two of which were keepers. Naturally, the bite started to get hot just as we ran out of bait. Headed back to Hampton around 1pm for some Barking Dog take-out and a few cold ones. Not a bad Sunday.

Caught 2 specs around Hampton yesterday morning. Wind wasn't ideal, but better than it has been.
