Default Seahunter 45 - The Beast

Just back from the show & gotta hit the rack. Enjoyed meeting Doubledown today, after knowing him here for a long time. He was nice enough to show me their new 45, which is simply impressive. It's a monster.

The pics aren't great, but they give you an idea of the scale, & nice lines - it made the 32 beside it look tiny. This is going to be something to see running in bigger seas.

It struck me as well how much higher it seemed than the other 40-42 class CC's especially just the mass off the bow, & seeing people stand next to it. It's got a very Sharp entry though, & pretty a trick running surface.

Yes, there was a good sized birth in the CC, head, microwave, & cabinets. They are going to come w/ a walk-around version as well which will be sweet. 6'10" of headroom as well, yet the exterior console heightwas actually lower than slot of CC's - good helm visibility.

I imaginé they will run the #'s pretty soon w/ the quad F350's which will be interesting to hear. You know someone is going to load it up w/ 7's though, which would make quité a combo.

if for whatever reason you don't realize just how big this boat is by looking at it, wait until you are standing about 20 feet away and there are 2 or 3 guys standing around the console. As I approached this beast on friday it took me a second to realize there were people in it, they were like ants up there.

It was annoyingly large. I kept walking and walking and felt like I'd never get passed it and the jbags that stand in the middle of the isles to chit chat. I mean let me tell you how much fun pushing a double stroller through MIBS is.....

Seriously though, badass boat.

It was great to meet all the forum guys this weekend.

I'll be running the boat with the Yamaha guys next week to test props and engine heights. We will be posting video and numbers on our facebook page. We'll also be adding the tower at some point in the next 2 weeks. Then its off to fish 30 tournaments in the next 6 months.

Its good to be home!!!

Any pics of the bottom?

There is a serious pad built into the keel.
