I did not buy from him. I was a bit reluctant to buy sight unseen on CL with no backup in case of a problem. I will probably buy 4 30's from him when I go down to my Keys place for the winter at Thanksgiving, but for now I bought a couple of 25's from a local guy here in NC.

Tropicmaster, Did you buy from the Maimi Craigslist TLD guy? How did it work out?

You know I have not even gotten around to to looking at the prop that was on it when I bought it. On salt WOT for me is 5600 and I am running 46 by GPS at that throttle setting. I almost never run WOT so dont really care about top end, the boat planes well and holds plane down to around18-19 mph, which for me is far more important than top end. Most of my fishing involves runs of up to 60 miles each way and the water here in the Carolinas rarely will allow more than 25-30 mph, so a boat that runs and hold well at lower throttle settings was more important to me than a fast boat. The Vector is so big and heavy that you dont get a lot of sense of speed. Do you have tabs on yours? I keep the motor trimmed all, or mostly up and use just enough tab to keep the front end down. Even in a big head sea I will run trimmed way up and rely on the tabs to plant that huge Vector bow into the seas. If you dont have tabs that may be why you are not getting the top end you want.

Hey, Saw your 2400cc.....georgous boat I have the same thing. What is your top speed and rpms at WOT. What prop are you running. I dont seem to get much top end out of mine. Thanks in advance.
