    Jim they had some less than qualified people replace the fuel lines in the engine room. When these guys finished there were many leaks, they claimed to fix them, but it looked like they didn't get them all. First trip she caught fire and burned to the water line. Rich

    Dear sir,
    I am new to this thread on the history of the Jim Smith boats. I was wondering if you know what happened to a Tribute that was based on Nantucket named Speculator. It was a stunning yacht that was incredibly fast for it's size. I used to talk with the captain when they were fueling in front of my restaurant in Falmouth,MA.

    It was Byrds Nest. He had a few boats named that. His name is Al Eldredge
