Ok, good to know about the trim tabs. I thought I wasn't shutting everything done properly. Yeah, we got the 300. I've only made a few hours on it so far....

It is the trim tabs. They have a built in safety feature to retract all the way in everytime you key off ignition. I have one that has always been kind of loud .... but has always worked perfect. Did you get it with the F300 engine ?

Ok, good deal. I was just wondering. One last item. When I turn off the boat I hear a whirling noise like something was still running in the engine area. My dealer said it's the trim tabs retracting, but I hear it even when the trim tabs are not deployed. Do you know the noise I'm talking about? Do you hear it on your Edge? Maybe they try to retract regardless of position....

As a side note, we stayed at the Island Inn for a week in March. We're looking for a condo on the island.

    Thanks!

Hey sxracer, I just dropped in our 2015 Edge over the weekend. We're keeping the boat in the water for the full season. When I trimmed my engine up to leave it in the slip the very tip of the engine is still in the water. A cooling water vent is still submerged. Do you see that issue with you're Edge? does the engine come all the way out of the water?

    Thanks.

Hey SX I live in Cape Coral and would love to take a look at your Edge, I'm a Realtor and sold our World Cat (too big for the west coast) like the look of the edge, we do not do a lot of fishing, mostly bar island hoping. may order a 2015, call me when you can, Thanks, Hugh 239-220-3333

My friend (BRP warranty tech) only told me to AVOID the HO E-tec. Said the standard E-tec was a great engine, and had no problem to reccomend to me. Our conversation ended there, All I needed to hear.

I would be interested on any insight you may have through your friend regarding 2008 etecs. Injectors in particular.

    Thanks
