Have you been able to run a Rev4 yet? I'm starting to lean towards a 300 Verado but it won't be a Pro model. I'll be ready to buy an engine in a month or so.. I just want to mKensurenim happy with performance.

Based off the numbers you posted in my build thread I think you could gain more efficiency by finding a better gripping prop so you can get your slip numbers down a little more.

That's excellent news! What kind of numbers are you seeing with the Vrod? At this point I'm leaning towards a Suzuki 300, but I still have a lot of work left to do on the boat. I just set my leaning post/tackle station and console in yesterday for a test fit.

    Thanks again for the info!

It actually is a total of 15" as there is an additional 1" spacer for the Verado tilt and steering bracket to fit. To answer your question, it is great, absolutely zero issues. I'm running a 19 pitch Eco Inertia and the boat will plane w/o problems at full extension, in fact, I cruise inshore at full extension 100% of the time. In all but a very choppy 2-4 foot GOM sea do I run it deeper. At the full extension if the boat floats, I can run the engine without problems. It is amazing to watch the fuel efficiency improve as you raise the engine while cruising.

How's the 14" jack plate holding up? I'm contemplating putting one on my 23v as well
