Hey, I saw your answer to a post a while back about a gas leak problem. I have a Bayliner 2355 with a leaking gas tank. I do not want to go through the agony of removing the bad tank. I want to drain and clean the tank and cap it off. I wanted to mount a gas tank inside the aft cabin almost directly above the old tank maybe a little more toward the starboard side. I plan on installing a 50 gallon poly tank through the firewall between engine compartment and aft berth area. I will then build up a new firewall around the tank. I will use the same location of the gas fill lines and run a new gas vent to the same location as old tank. Any thoughts on this??
