gil, i have an older jupiter 31. boat has a flat pad on the keel which is perfect for transducer installation. added furuno tzt2's last year and could not locate a pair of ss or b 264 0 degree ducers so installed a 164 instead. bad plan. the 164 just isn't worthy. i am a gulf bottom fisherman so the 264 with narrow beam on the hf seems to be the best option out there for my purposes, but i'm looking for your opinion on that and whether or not you would be able to locate such an animal. i've also heard that the 264 is being discontinued? thats probably wrong, but if not, is there another ducer coming up that is going to outdo the 264? thanks, mike. 941-809-5457

Gil - do you still have the same email address from before? travis.g@sbcglobal.net

I sent an email to that a few days ago. If I have the wrong address please correct me.

    Thanks,

Thanks Gill for the help with my new electronics setup! Gill answered all of my endless questions, quickly and had the best prices and warranties anywhere, I have been shopping for over a couple weeks, now I know I don't have to look anywhere else ever again!

Gil, I got my electronics package from you a few years ago and I'm finally ready for a thru-hull. I think I've decided on the B75H. Mostly fishing in the GOM so typically in water under 200' and always searching for bottom detail. I see online that Garmin has a B75H. What is the difference in that and the Airmar? Is garmin just making ducers too? Any quality differences?

What would you suggest for bottom fishing in 150' or less with a 9" screen?

    Gil,
You think that new active imaging transducer is that much better than the totalscan? I'l wanting to upgrade from my go7 with t/s and go to a 9" screen. I wish money wasn't an option but it is. Are the GO9's with active going on sell anytime soon? I appreciate your help!

    Hey Gil,
I already have a Garmin 7612 XSV on the boat but might want to add a second 12" screen and network them together. I want to stick with the same touch screen appearance and was wanting to know if the 1242 touch will network with my 7612xsv? What's the delivered cost of the 1242 touch with a network starter kit delivered to 37122 zip code?
