Gil, I got my electronics package from you a few years ago and I'm finally ready for a thru-hull. I think I've decided on the B75H. Mostly fishing in the GOM so typically in water under 200' and always searching for bottom detail. I see online that Garmin has a B75H. What is the difference in that and the Airmar? Is garmin just making ducers too? Any quality differences?

What would you suggest for bottom fishing in 150' or less with a 9" screen?

    Gil,
You think that new active imaging transducer is that much better than the totalscan? I'l wanting to upgrade from my go7 with t/s and go to a 9" screen. I wish money wasn't an option but it is. Are the GO9's with active going on sell anytime soon? I appreciate your help!

    Hey Gil,
I already have a Garmin 7612 XSV on the boat but might want to add a second 12" screen and network them together. I want to stick with the same touch screen appearance and was wanting to know if the 1242 touch will network with my 7612xsv? What's the delivered cost of the 1242 touch with a network starter kit delivered to 37122 zip code?

I have a Lowrance network, chart, radar, and sounder, but would like to add a second, stand-alone sounder with internal GPS. I like the Furuno FCV 588, but with a transducer I'm in around $2000. I'd like to be closer to $1000. Maybe a SiTex? I appreciate your advice.

Hello looking for some advise. I live in the Boston area. Looking for a GPS & Fishfinder Combo for around $500-$600 and looking for recommedations. The boat I have is a Rinker Cruiser. Not really a fishing boat but will make due. It came with a Loran 3300c which didn't work.
Also, it has an extended ski platform would that mess up a transducer mounted to transom.
