    Hi Gil,

It's been a while since I spoke with you last and then it was about flying.

I'm working on a boat that has a P17 in it. The owner is installing a Garmin echomap 70dv himself and asked for some help with a transducer. I called and spoke to someone at Gemeco and they gave me the part number below as the transducer that could be used in place of the P17 and use the same housing. Are you able to get this for me and what would the cost be? I know that this particular transducer is NMEA 0183 and we could not use the 8-pin port already on the back of the Garmin. I'll have to wire it up to the Garmin power/NMEA harness.

40' Sporty. Replacing Furuno 587 ( I think that is the model #) ..... salt water ...30% 20' to 40' 30% 40' to 60' 35% 60' to 140' and 5% over 140' maybe 250' ...... looking for dedicated fishfider unit only ( no GPS needed for this unit) .... what top 3 units would you recommend including the related transducer .... want "upper tier" performance... Thank you in advance !!

I need a thru hull transducer for an Furuno FCV1100 unit. I will be taking out a b744v transducer. What do you recommend. I would take a r99 if you had super close out deal. I will need price and availability on your recommended transducers.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Gil,

Jim Nelligan here. I want to thank you for the help you gave me in deciding on Garmin equipment for my boat. In the last 2 weeks I had a member of my fishing club, who works for Garmin be able to order all the equipment and get a 40% employee discount. I had to get it from him.

I'm sorry you lost the sale, but that's the only reason why. If I need anything else I'll come to you.

I have a situation that you may be able to help me with. My issue is that my storage location does not provide me access to electricity and I need to charge my 24V trolling motor's batterries. It is usually 3-7 days between my fishing trips.

Is there a solar system that is up to this task?
