Thank you! I am pretty sure the gel is wht. My boat is 4 years old on the top so not sure if that plays a part in the color. I personally like the contrast between the 2 colors.

I do love the hull color, was one of the reasons I rebuilt (the only one in that color). It is paint and not gel coat. The awl grip is the way to go. let me know if i can help. Tommy

Love your build thread - I've always loved the Gause's. I am currently building a new flats boat and am planning on doing the topcoat just like the Gause. I called the factory and they told me the color of the awl grip they spray on top with the sandy substance - they said the color is awlgrip eggshell - which looks correct with the awlgrip color chart. They also told me the while gel coat that the awl grip is sprayed onto was the same color - which doesn't make any sense to me. In previous photos I've seen, the while looks very bright, but on your boat, it looks a little creamier. Do you happen to know the color of the white on your topcoat?
Coincidentally, I had chosen a blue for the hull sides that looks very, very close to the color of your hull as well. I could only hope my blue is just like yours, as it is the best looking one I've ever seen.
