No, in fact I am always amazed how dry it is. Are you sure your drain plug or live well water intake are not leaking?

Our 172 has been great too. I keep wanting to go bigger/newer but can't justify it. We've fished flats in the Keys and taken it all over the Carolina's and its been great.
Now, the gas tank is the only thing I worry about on this boat. I bought the boat about 7 years ago, and assume I have the original tank. It will be a pain to replace, but I have not researched it so cannot provide any guidance on what the options are. I do make sure the boat is well drained and keep it stored with the ski locker open to try and avoid moisture build up. Other than that, just crossing my fingers as I have a '92, so the tank is 25 years old.
I also pressure tested it about 3 years ago
