The boat will be here in a few weeks. As I posted, the flat deck is not a problem for adults. I will have front and rear casting platforms on mine, so it will comfortably fish four and the platforms will be great for fly fishing. I reported on my sea trial, which assuaged any doubts that I had about the boat.

The advantage of this boat is that it will go places where no other boat on Charlotte Harbor will go. At low tide during the winter, I can run into Bull Bay while the guides are sitting outside waiting for the tide to rise. The Ibis will also go into the shallow creeks off the bays to fish the bomb holes.

And, if the harbor is calm, the boat will shoot across to the west wall at 50+. The boat will take the 1 to 2' chop if you really want to run the open water. But, those will be very short runs and the Ibis runs skinny enough that you can cross the sand bars into the smooth water. It does run in 3" and I haven't seen much water in Charlotte harbor skinnier than that.
