    Mike I have a 2006 z200 hpdi that surges in idle and in neutral only between 700/800 rpm if the throttle is moved to produce 1200 rpms the engine goes to 4000 rpm and the throttle has no responce I have to shut off the engine. The eng runs fine in gear under load. The TPS has been changed as well as the O2 sensor. The eng has been gone thru by a cert Yamaha Mech and he can't find any leaks at all. He is now telling me I need an ECM/ECU a new one is 1330.Plus $ so I have been looking for a good used one to no avail. I live in Central Fl. brevard County if you or anyone can help in any way the P/N is 68F 8591- G2-00 or the older version is G1-00. The mechanic said the ECU/ECM is the only thing left to try...I have spent in excess of 1700. dollars already. He says he can't find one.

    List price $57k, normally sells mid $40k, the dealer is getting rid of this at dealer cost of $37k.

    The boat is not in water, your post made me feel comfortable this would be a decent boat for my 5 year old to play, have guests on, and for me to waterski. You seem to know it is capable for pulling up a skier with that Yamaha 150HP and also has good performance.

    I have a question for you, is $37k (with a great trailer) a good price for this boat? I am no expert but the sales guy said I could ask anyone.

    I could get a used pontoon boat, but I am thinking I would be disappointed if I don't get one with the performance I need, and the quality I want. Your thoughts?

We spoke a while ago about bottom paint for pontoons in saltwater and I never seemed to get a chance to get back to you. We specialize in Pontoon boats (South bay and Qwest/Gillgetter) as well as electric drives (Torqeedo/Lenco). I am inland and surrounded by lakes but have had several inquiries from shoreline customers about bottom paint or treatment for pontoons used in the salt water.     Hey! I have been looking all over for someone with a Parker 21SE with a Cobia tower. Just wonder how it handles up there? I see most of the towers on the 23 and just wondering how it fits and rides on the 21.

    i just bought a used Pathfinder with a 2005 115 Yamaha 4-stroke. When washing it, I noticed some trim fluid on the driveway. When I used the boat two days later, I noticed a slick on the water around the motor. i wasn't able to use the boat for about 10-days and then the motor wouldn't even move, with the trim. i found some of your earlier posts on this, but am not completely sure i am bleeding the trim correctly. With the motor in the up position, I opened the drain cap, and put some fluid in until it ran back out, then I put the cap on, turned the manual screw and lowered the motor by hand, then I tightened the screw and raised the motor with the trim, and repeated. After doing this several times, it works much better, but I don't think it is completely out of air. Am I doing this right?

    Pretty hard to say, I have not heard of that being a regular problem.

    Mike I had my yam guages blank out then come back on. Any ideas of where the power loss
