    Inigo, The 2300 is a very stable boat at anchor and drifting. The deadrise is not as good in big seas running fast like a contender, but does not snap roll when drift fishing or when going slow.
    The hulls are lighter because of all the coring that goes into the deck and hull. They are stiff hulls because they are 4 pieces bonded together. If you look ay my build thread you can see it clearly.

    I don't know where you are, and how you fish in the ocean.. If it is usually nasty (3' to 5' seas), get the Contender or Regulator. The 2300 has a bigger cockpit than most 25' boats..

    Crawl around on one and look at the features and ride on it..
    We mostly fish the Keys, and spearfish. I do run offshore 30 miles Dolphin fishing, and the hull is super stable and strong..
