Hey buddy, sorry it took so long to answer back. It is an aftermarket. It makes getting back in the boat a snap, even for larger people, and less in shape people. I think the way it is designed to be mounted is all 4 connection points going into the transom, but I mounted it so that the top to points are on top of the transom. I bought it through overtons I believe. It is a 4 step foldable ladder. There are two holes that you drill for each connection point. I only drilled one hole for each of the bottom two connection points, so each bottom connection point is only held on by 1 bolt, but it works fine anyway. I am not so lazy that I didn't want to drill 8 holes... I just have this thing about putting holes in boats, I try to avoid it as much as possible.
