My plugs are working just fine. I don't remember which gasket sealer I used. Any gasket sealer for metal for high temp and water will work fine. It doesn't require the greatest seal as the screw does a good job of sealing by itself. The problem will be getting the screw out. Take your time as it can break

Last year I bought a second hand boat with a Suzuki 2004 DF115 CV. I am going to replace the steel exhaust plug by the goldplug aluminum plugs before I have troubles with it. Is your plug still working fine? Do you remember the name of the gasket sealant that you applyed?

No problems so far or any issues. But I replaced my plugs before there was any issue.

I also have twin suzuki DF 140's that have leaks in the engine holder on both engines and noticed you had replaced with the goldplug aluminum plugs. I am told there was no other long term fix to this situation other than replacing that whole part which is costly. I am wondering how the replacement plugs you have are working for you and if there were any side issues that came up from that problem. i read there could be corrosion in the oil pan and other places from the engine holder and wondered what you heard as you seem very knowledgeable on this.
