Ice is generally available at Bootle. As to bait, we will usually bring frozen squid and shrimp for bottom fishing for snapper. Vida will do his best to get you some pilchards locally as they are the bait of choice for the snapper and grouper. We used to bring frozen chum to mix with steam rolled oats that we mix with menhaden oil for our chum but given the hassle of frozen chum we have now moved to bringing freeze dried chum which is very easy to store and deal with. The little restaurant at Bootle Bay is terrific as Vida's wife LaShanda and the other lady on the property Linda are the best cooks on Grand Bahama. You can always go to Old Bahama Bay for a change of pace. The best fishing is usually north on and adjacent to the Little Bahama Bank. I can give you start points for sure as you get closer. In addition Vida and his brother Warrick can help guide you. Stay in touch and I will help you out.

Thanks for help with Bootle bay. I gotta bug you little more. How is the availability of bait and ice there. Should we take everything we need with us, and what about restaurants nearby for the wives. I don't want specific numbers but would you recommend heading south or north from bb to fish?
