I may just be dreaming and seeing things from the gilded cage type thing, so hit me with the bad points, like water/electric bills, insurance etc. If I can't buy the property I won't be making a deal.

The location isn't the best, I'd call it a "B" location for traffic but it's not far off the beaten path for folks to go for a wash. I'm going to retire in a couple of years and won't be 60 yet, still will need something to do with my time.

I don't need a business to turn lots of money (it would be nice) but as long as it were profitable I'd be happy. I've run/owned other businesses in my life so I'm aware of pitfalls like labor, overhead etc.

What I don't know is, overall do you think it's a good business to get in or if you had to do it again would you pass? I know it is economy and weather dependent type of business, but also know I'm fairly good at marketing and if I'm not pushing to make top dollar I'm thinking that offering discounts to groups might help keep customer flow up and tips coming for the staff.

I'm reaching out to you as you were mentioned by another member as someone that might be able to offer some advice.
I live in northern NJ, there is a car wash local to me that has been in operation for well over a decade, the owner past away and the business closed. A new owner bought it, but he is only here part time, half the years (the busy half) he is in Fl. Well things are catching up to him and he is thinking of selling.

His wash has in ground pulley system that pulls the car in neutral through the wash, other then a set of soap applicators that spray soap on the car and blowers at the end the rest of the wash is done by hand.

Good morning! I've been reading the Bahamas 2015 post between you, Omar, and Turtle. I've been doing a little planning for the past couple of years for this trip and would like to make a run down to Staniel in 2016.

I'm in Houston and would like to hear all about anyones trip over and how things went. I currently have an 18' bow rider but looking at upgrading to a 22'er.

I just bought a new house on lewisville, at hidden cove marina.

We need to meet up I have a ton of pictures from our trip to Bimini from last year I want to make it a yearly thing. And in all honestly it's not crazy expensive. I think we did the hole trip last year for about 3000 to 3500, 1000 of that was fuel round trip.

I don't know it all by any means. But I learned a lot last year. Pack lite!!!!!

Feel free to call or text me.

Thanks for reaching out. In flower mound and on either lake lewisville or grapevine. Looking forward to the trip. Been taking annual trips to destin but we decided to make it all the way to Bimini this year. Looking forward to it and if it turns out as easy, we might make it an annual trip.....

Where are you docking your boat in Dallas area?
