Hi, I'm not sure if you still monitor this forum. If so, I'm looking at a 2001 and 2004 HS WA and would like to run a few questions by you. Is this possible ? thx Jeff

I found a 2000 2796 for sale and the survey report from 2010 says it has Wood stringers.

"Hull stiffness provided by FRP covered wooden longitudinal stringers that run the
length of the vessel. Complete inspection not possible due to limited access.
Stringers were sighted at the transom bilge area only and are well glassed into hull
where sighted. Stringers sounded with hammer where accessible and appeared very
sound. No soft spots, separation, cracks rotting or splitting sighted. Limber holes
appear to be adequately sealed where sighted."

So if this boat has no wood, and I'm pretty sure you are correct about this, then do you think this surveyor is just covering his ass?

Assuming this boat has no wood, is there anything for me to lookout for?

    Thanks,

    Todd

Always run more in the rears than the front (even not towing). These two items will transform the towing experience with these vehicles.

what does this mean? sorry, I understand the entire response except for this sentence. Thank you!

I really do want to get an older Tahoe and I was expecting to get the air bags installed to offset the dip in the rear when towing.
