so you liked my transom !
Was a way of increasing cockpit fishing space !overcoming the transom horrible mess it was in !Making the hull safer from following seas , and the added performance and handling was definitely a big plus !
Easy to do and make the new transom shape and had given it lots of thought how to use some of the old and plant on to the new and being 100% composite no wet rotten transom ever again .I also fitter hydraulic steering and even at 60mph plus was one finger control it was so light to steer ,Once I got the prop exchanged at the local Yamaha dealers for smaller diameter and bigger pitch and the motor height set right was a real pleasure to drive Better than a car !

Hey Dacman. I know this is a long shot but do you, by chance, have a video of your Spirit running?

I had a couple of friends that had them back in the day. They took a beating and kept going. I owned a 1980 johnson 70 and that thing ran like a top until the day I sold the boat in 2005. Probably still out there goin. The stinger was legendary however. Does your Stinger still run.. You'll be hard pressed to see a four stroke last that long.

From one who owns a '76 75 hp Stinger, why do you say it is the most bullet proof?
