Hey I read your post about the work you were doing on the Parker installing new insulated fish boxes. I have been considering doing the exact same thing just wondering how it turned out and what hatches you used for fish box lids. Did you make a third box where the old in deck fish box was? Let me know thanks

Cross Bones, You still fishing the out deep on the west coast? I read some of your posts and you appear to have a ton of experience and information. I have been fishing the offshore gulf for 20 years, mostly bottom fishing, king fishing, free lining for the rogue Mahi and BFT. I lived in Ft Lauderdale for a few years and went to "college" in terms of bluewater fishing with some great crews down there and have been trying to apply the information to this coast.

I would love to get together sometime for a beer to pick your brain about these trips and maybe gain a new fishing partner.

Let me know if you are still in the game.

tld 25's one week of trolling in the keys several years ago. $250 for the pair. spooled with momoi blue smoke 40
50's have been used but for small fish relative to their capabilites. we used them more for lin capacity than strength.spooled with hi viz yellow momoi 50 $275 each. used over 4 seasons
30's same use as the fifties. some scratches but they work like new. spooled with hi viz momoi 50. $400 each. used over 4 seasons

fishing on the sw gulf coast is a lot like what you will be fishing. you will have the better chance for yft and that is where you need the additional line capacity. not necessarily for beating the fish but for letting enough line out on the troll so they will eat. you can run more lines if you can space them further but for this you need line capacity. not something very many guys think about.

located in osprey fl, just south of sarasota

Crossbones...I would be interested to get more info on the tackle you have for old are they/how much use have they had?

Where are you located? How much are you asking for each of the reels mentioned?
