Now my normal day consists of approx 3 qts of fluid, mostly water but some power-aid zero too. The days I'm on the boat or working outside (I live in Florida) can can easily drink a 4th quart. The key is to not drink large amounts all at once, keep a bottle of water or drink of choice with you at all times and take small sips through the day. Chugging liquids can actually cause your new stomach to expand.

The hardest part for me was not drinking anything while I eat. Don't think I can only eat this much, enjoy what you can eat. I measure and weigh everything and plan my meals out, it will help with your success.

If you still have your gall bladder ask if they take that at the same time or if they will as rapid weight loss can and usually will cause gall stones. 5 months after the sleeve I was back in having my gall bladder taken out and of course it was a different insurance year.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Its was the best decision I ever made, 9 months post-op from the gastric sleeve and I've lost about 110lbs, and about 20 inches just in the belly and currently stuck but it happens. To me it was more about the inches then the actual weight number. If I don't lose another pound I will be very happy as to where I am, I'm about 40lbs from my goal, but have some loose skin which will help me get closer. =)

Staying hydrated is very important. If I'm on the boat or working in the yard I actually drink more. I used to be a big soda guy diet pepsi was my go to, I haven't had any of that junk in over a year and feel so much better. My typical day consists of eating 4oz of protein 3 times a day and 3 snacks a day. Snacks are yogurt, cheese sticks, nuts, etc etc small amounts and very limited saturated fats. Don't forget the fiber too, find one that works for you.
