    No problems with Manifolds or riser I only boat in fresh water last for years

    No engine is okey I replaced Fuel Cell Coil and then found thermostat was struck open .. The outdrive which I call Black Bastard aka XDP from Volvo----- torn off skag end of last season --- was going to switch back of engine to Mercrusier however because of the cost 3K decide to purchase a rebuilt Mercruiser 357 Mag already set up for a Bravo 3 when with a 4 barrel ---- engine is complete and inculdes motor mounts

    I was winterizing and may have found problem w engine---- the thermostate was stuck open --- will find out in spring because I have winterized and pull outdrive-- was getting ready to purchase repower w carb and Bravo 3 since cutout is the same--

    engine in very good condition but has been laid up for over a year, when i came to check it there was no oil in engine, completely empty.i refilled (hence ? about oil level etc) and started it up other day for the first time and started straight away. Unfortunately their appears to be a very small oil leak but i cant see where it is coming from , i have to assume sump plug or small hole in pan as the engine was empty. This means i willl have to remove engine ..which i really dont want to do as i have to do myself..no VP mechanics here in Ghana. so i am basically trying to get as much info as possible. Whilst engine out i will check risers, manifolds etc as a matter of course and check heat exchanger. Will change bellows on the XDP composite drive to the latest greatest version. The engine has 180 hours on it and looks immaculate..has complete VP service history...just this nuisance oil leak..ah well makes life interesting

    I have the same set up as you 5.0 OSI-EF. I see you have several threads going right now. Did your engine fail? If it did what happened? Did the risers fail?
