Yes we finally got to the bottom of the problem. When the boat was rigged they put the wrong tank capacity in the memory. Plugged in the correct numbers and it works fine now.

I have the same concerns. I have found a fabricator in Miami who says they can replicate the rails.
Since I am afraid of them not going back together I am going to try JB Weld sand and paint.
Friends have totally removed the windshield and gone back to eisenglass.
I like the appearance to the windshield even though on hot days not enough air circulates and the glass acts like a green house. This is my 2nd 38, have now owned a 38 for over 20 years and lot's of hours on the water.
