My boat is a center console. Do you think 175's would work well? And what length shaft? Ever thought about Jackplates on them? Maybe with a 12" setback?

Good morning, new to the site. I have seen your pictures of the seacat you've redone with the 250 etec's )looks great!). On the boat I'm In the process of buying ('95 2550) the plate says it's rated for 280hp. Have you ran into any issues overpowering? Were you able to insure it? The suzuki dealers around here (vero beach, fl) won't install motors larger than the boat is rated for but I want 175's. Also, are your etecs 20" or 25" shafts? Thanks in advance.

We also went with Etec 250 On our GB 2640. They work great we cruise at 29 not 4000 RPMs softer ride we love. Would love to talk to you about your boat. We have about 12 hours on hours so far. With no real issues . The best of both worlds soft ride a good cruising speed , thanks Rick

Is the boat still for sale? How many hours are on the engines? I assume you do not have a trailer, what is the beam? I would have to trailer it back to Florida as that is where I reside. Thanks in advance
