Default Motorguide Wireless Foot Pedal experience

I have an Xi5 on my Mckee 196DC (dual console layout). Have been very happy with it but looking to upgrade my fishing experience with
this wireless pedal this wireless pedal

When working a shoreline for bass it's frustrating to have to take my hand off of the rod and adjust the TM speed/direction with the fob. Of course zillions of bass fishermen use foot pedals to manage this. So I want to do the same.

I suspect some of you flats guys have similar problems picking your way through mangroves/sight fishing. You don't want to be taking your hand off the rod mid retrieve because the wind or current just pushed you around a bit.

Looking for your experience and input. My specific questions:

1) Does it work OK in concert with the handheld remote also in service? Motorguide literature says up to 4 devices can be paired at once.
2) Does Wifi interfere? It runs on 2.4 GHz. I have Lowrance wifi on the boat plus people's phones could create RF noise in the 2.4 GHz band.
3) This one is important to me. I don't sit on a pedestal chair the way the bass guys do. Not an option on my boat. Are you able to operate this unit satisfactorily while standing?
4) Any other concerns or issues from a user/reliability standpoint?

I expect it'll be a great upgrade - just want to do a quick check before ticking the buy box.

I have an X5i with both the fob and foot control. I also mostly bass fish so I have first hand experience in what you're seeking. First off, yes you can use both at the same time. Which ever one sends a signal to the TM will override what ever it was doing such as being in spot lock or toll mode set by the fob and you want to stop or change course with the foot control. Personally I don't like the feel of the foot control. Compared to a cable steer TM its seems too sensitive to steering input and takes a bit of getting used to. I leave it on the deck and about the only time I use it is if I need to control the TM while landing a fish. For that purpose alone its worth it. Outside of that I almost exclusively use the fob. I'd like to add to that last year my TM went wonky while I was using it then quit all together. Seemed the fob crapped out, thankfully I was still able to fish uninterrupted with the foot control. Local MG repair center took about 5 minutes to troubleshoot and replaced it on the spot. Outside of that its going on 3 years of trouble free use.

Thank you that’s just the kind of input I was looking for.
